I graduated in year 2000 from Mumbai University, as I grew up with my experiences with people and surroundings; I feel part of my motivation as an architect comes from an appreciation of very personal stories of life.
The best tales are simple narrative that includes descriptions of some of the more sensual aspect of our expressions; I feel the same applies to architecture and interiors.
To me, architecture and interiors are inter-related and cohesive.
I enjoy and cherish the total engagement in design and building process.
I feel a beauty cannot be targeted; it’s often a byproduct of ordinary pursuits.
My belief strongly lies in this phrase by Sir Charles Eames “The details are not the details. They make the design.”
I often have sensual as well was an intuitive approach in my work, for me my inspiration towards design is not limited to build form, in addition to this we includes nature, paintings, art, installations, films and advertisements.
Design for me is not a witty formal invention, but it is a process, interpreted by the Architect for the client and his requirement.
My work has been graced by the caring hands and minds of many outstanding people; it does contribute to who I am and what I design.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
Luxurious, understated, stylish, unexpected, practical,
attention to detail and clients needs are primary.

He is an Architect with distant global and artistic sensibilities that rises above trends and customary design concepts.

Interface has received recognition in many magazines and media like :
Trends, Better Interiors, Home Review, Inside Outside, Me Maharashtrian online media etc to name a few.
He was also a Jury Member at The ACE TECH Exhibition for the year 2013 and 2014 held at Mumbai.

Kunal Barve is also on the Advisory Board of The Big 5 Construction India.
